Gather on the front steps of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

All are invited to join in praying the Stations of the Cross around the Courthouse on Good Friday, April 15, at noon. The ecumenical prayer will focus on current social justice issues linked to each station.

Starting on the front steps of St. Paul’s Lutheran, 428 North Erie Street, the group will walk on the sidewalk around the Courthouse, stopping for a short prayer at each of the 14 stations and ending back at St. Paul’s.

The Stations of the Cross have a long and varied history as a means of meditating in a spiritual pilgrimage commemorating Jesus’ nonviolent resistance to oppression, leading to his crucifixion and death.

The prayer event is prepared by a local coalition of peace and justice advocates.
